Ambiance / Design Elements:
The Bride and Groom lived on the other side of the country, but wanted to have their wedding in the Bride's parents' backyard.
A couple of years prior, the Bride's brother also had his wedding in their parents backyard, and they all learned that the one thing they would have done differently, was hire a Wedding Planner, so the Bride and her parents hired us at the beginning of the planning this time around.
The Bride had a very specific vision for her wedding day. It may be in a backyard, but she wanted a feeling of elegance, class, and sophistication. She also wanted to capitalize on the intimacy that is unique only to a private residence and the sentimentality of this being the home she grew up in.
We set up a tent on the immaculate lawn, along with tables, fruitwood folding chairs, and a wooden dance floor and then added stunning purple uplighting. The tables were dressed with Pewter Satin linens and stunning floral arrangements incorporating the color palette of deep purple and fresh green.
The Bride and Groom gave a surprise first dance performance to the Tango from "Scent of a Woman" that called for an encore performance at the end of the night.
